  • 2002 . Award by the International Osteoporosis Foundation for establishing and introducing Bulgarian anti-osteoporosis programmes for adults and children . By this award a series of contemporary treatment of osteoporosis and a special symposium on this disease have been held .
  • 2009 . Award by the International Osteoporosis Foundation and the World Health Organization for introducing the International Computer Programme for Prognosis of the Fracture Risk FRAX in Bulgaria.
